Description: Climbing nasturtium with variegated foliage producing abundant flowers in a range of colours including unusual strawberry and bronze shades. Sowing Instructions: Sow on to a moist seed sowing compost in a 150 cell plug tray or similar size unit cover with 10mm of vermiculite and propagate at 15 to20c. Germination should take place after 7 to 10 days. Alternatively sow direct into the final pot or pack for sale putting 4 or 5 seeds per pot into a 9 cm pot and 2 seeds per cell into a Pack 6. A succession of sowings can be made from early March to June. Growing Instructions: Grow on at 15c, the temperature can be lowered further as the seedlings become established. Pot on the plug plants into 9cm pots or larger if required. The early March sown plants should be ready for sale at the end of April. Nasturtium is a very vigorous grower so grow them slightly on the dry side and use the growth regulator B nine to maintain a compact plant for sale. |
