Half-Hardy Annual
Description: The quilled flowers are borne up the length of the stem over a long period in a mixture of clear yellow and bronze-orange. This unusual flower shape is a wonderful cut flower and will make a great addition to any flower arrangement. Sowing Instructions: Sow direct in to open ground from March onwards. The rate and speed of germination will depend on the soil temperature and weather conditions and could be from 7 to 21 days. Sow the seed 2cm deep in rows 60cm to 90cm apart with a distance of 30cm between the plants. Alternatively raise the plants under glass late February for planting outdoors in May. If sown under cover sow one seed per cell in 240 cell plug tray or similar size unit and propagate at 15c to 20c. Germination should take place after approximately 7 days. Growing Instructions: Keep weed free and water during dry periods. |
