Description: Eye catching rich scarlet single flowers. Ideal planted as drifts in garden borders. Decorative seed heads that can be dried.
Easy direct sow variety.
Final garden height: 60-90cm (24-36 inches).

Sowing Instructions: For best results multi sow 3 to 4 seeds per cell in a 150 cell plug tray or slightly larger unit. Sow on to the surface of a free-draining, moist seed-sowing compost and cover with 3-4mm (¼ inch) of vermiculite. Propagate at 15-20C (60-68F). Germination should take place in approximately 2 weeks. Maintain a temperature of 15C (60F) after germination until the seedlings are established. Alternatively sow direct into 12 pack, 9cm pot or preferred final unit of sale.
Direct Sowing:
Sow direct in to open ground in from March onwards or in September to overwinter. The rate and speed of germination will depend on the soil temperature and weather conditions and could be from 7 to 21 days. Sow the seed 2-3cm (¾-1¼ inches) deep in rows 60-90cm (25-35 inches) apart depending on variety with a distance of 10-30 cm (4-12 inches) between the plants. Ensure all ground is weed free and well prepared before sowing.

Growing Instructions: When the seedlings are established transfer the plugs into a 9cm pot or 6 pack. This should result in quality plants with a good display of flowers for sale from May onwards.
If sown direct, keep weed free and water during dry periods.
